ASİVET

ASİVET

Oral Emulsion

Getter

COMPONENTS

ASIVET emulsion; It is an orange colored emulsion with a slightly characteristic odor and contains 30 mg Dimethylpolysiloxane (Simethicone) per ml.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Asivet, a 3% dimethylpolysiloxane emulsion, is an organic polymer and has a strong antifoam feature.

Dimethylpolysiloxane, an organic silicone polymer, is of great importance for application in veterinary medicine due to its strong defoaming properties. By increasing the surface tension of the reticulo-rumen fluid, dimethylpolysiloxane prevents the rapid explosion and formation of foam, and the trapped gas begins to be expelled in a short time through burping, thus rumen-reticular movements return to normal. Dimethylpolysiloxane creates a slippery and protective layer on the digestive system mucosa that prevents secretion.

SPECIFIC CLINICAL FACTS AND WARNINGS FOR TARGET SPECIES

In acute tympani cases, it would be useful to give heart-supplementing drugs for asphyxia and heart failure as supportive treatment. The bottle should be shaken well before using the emulsion. Use during pregnancy: It is safe to use during pregnancy as it is not absorbed by the body.

UNDESIRED / SIDE EFFECTS

Asivet, which has no effect on the microflora of the gastrointestinal tract, has no side effects or toxic effects.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Since anti-tympanic preparations containing formaldehyde, cresol, oils or alcohol complicate the mechanism of action of Asivet, the amount of emulsion to be given after applying these preparations should be doubled or even tripled.

SYMPTOMS, PRECAUTIONS AND ANTIDOTE IN OVERDOSE

Because Simethicone is an oily, inert liquid, a polymerized dimethylsilicone derivative, it is not absorbed from the digestive tract of pets. For this reason, it never poses a risk of poisoning in the animals to which it is applied. Therefore, when necessary, the recommended doses can be increased by 2 to 3 times.
